IAM District 19 held the Basic Local Chairman Program on February 3 – 9, 2024, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center. The training focused on intense individualized training, effective representation, writing skills, and verbal communication. It was a great class with participants from around the nation, in freight and passenger. District 19 is focused on rendering education in many ways to allow our members to represent and engage our membership to strengthen our union. If you are a Local Chairman or have never attended the program and are looking to engage in your union, you should plan to participate next year.
